04 August 2020 09:09

JAKARTA - PT Trisula Textile Industries Tbk (BELL) posted revenue growth of 14.78% year on year (yoy) to Rp 300.99 billion in the second quarter (Q2) of 2020.

In the same period, the company’s gross profit also rose 9.52% yoy to Rp 69.97 billion. According to BELL CEO Karsongno Wongso Djaja, the company’s positive performance in Q2 was driven by the distribution and manufacturing segments, which have been running smoothly despite the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“This year we also received revenue contribution from the JOBB and Jack Nicklaus retail business segments,” said Mr Djaja in an official statement received by IDNFinancials.com, Monday (3/8).

“However, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions have caused many retail stores to close down, and as such BELL has prepared strategies to face these challenges by increasing online marketing and product innovation.”

Through its subsidiary PT Mido Indonesia, BELL sells products under the JOBB and Jack Nicklaus trademarks online. Going forward, Mr Djaja said, the company seeks to boost online sales as part of its adjustment to the conditions caused by the pandemic. (MS)
