JAKARTA. As of 4 August 2020, the government has used Rp 85.34 trillion of its social protection budget.
The funds have been distributed for the Family Hope Program (PKH), staple food cards, and direct social assistance. Besides those, the funds were used to provide subsidies for electricity cost for 34 million households in Indonesia.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said in her Instagram account on Wednesday (5/8) that the assistances were given to help the low-income people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. (AM/AR)
