JAKARTA. The government has prepared a budget of Rp 414 trillion for infrastructure development in the 2021 State Budget Draft (RAPBN), which will be directed at the development of digital infrastructure.
This was conveyed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in his speech on the Law on the Draft State Budget and Financial Notes, at the Parliament Building, Jakarta on Friday (14/8). Jokowi said that the COVID-19 pandemic shows that the availability of digital infrastructure is very crucial and strategic.
In addition, infrastructure spending is also directed at boosting logistical efficiency, strengthening labor-intensive infrastructure that supports industrial and tourism areas, building public health facilities and providing basic necessities. (AM/AR)
