Kalbe Farma donates PPE for floating hospitals

JAKARTA - PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) in collaboration with doctorSHARE provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the form of 4,200 Surgical Masks, 520 Hazmat Suit Medical Grade and 150 Hazmat Non Medical Grade through the Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN) to be distributed to 55 Hospitals all over Indonesia, especially the floating hospitals initiated by doctorShare.

"Kalbe is committed to helping the government overcome COVID-19 in Indonesia, one of which is through giving donations to IGCN and doctorSHARE," said Melina M Karamoy, Head of Corporate Communication and Sustainability of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. "Kalbe, IGCN, and doctorSHARE have the same values, namely mindfulness, meaning that we all realize that handling COVID-19 must be handled together for the health of the Indonesian nation. Through a network of floating hospitals that reach remote and hard to reach areas, Kalbe believes doctorSHARE can do the best for people in need,” continued Melina.

Previously, Kalbe through the Bersama Sehatkan Bangsa program has donated for handling COVID-19 in the form of RT PCR examination assistance for 8,000 COVID-19 patients through KalGen Innolab and Rapid Test services for the community through KlikDokter.

For information, Kalbe has also distributed 1,000,000 masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) to hospitals in 77 cities, 28 provinces in Indonesia, Eijkman Research Institute, 500,000 nutritional products for health workers, distributed 1,000,000 Fatigon multivitamin products to health workers and people vulnerable to COVID-19 in 9 cities in Indonesia.
