JAKARTA - Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) requested that the State-owned Banks Association (Himbara) expand the distribution of credit to new customers from the MSMEs sector to help support national economic recovery efforts. This was conveyed by Puteri Anetta Komarudin, Member of Commission XI in a press release on Thursday (24/9).
"I ask that banks target new MSME debtors, and not only focusing on existing debtors," he said.
Even so, she said, banks must remain prudent in distributing credit by considering business prospects and the debtors' ability to repay their loans. " Himbara members need to continue to maximize credit distribution to MSMEs from various business sectors," he said. (LK/AR)
