JAKARTA. BNI Syariah provides a Rp 400 billion loan to PT Medco Power Indonesia, which will be used as working capital and to cover operating costs.
Finance Director of Medco Power Susilawati Nasution said the loan was necessary because her party is currently building various renewable energy projects, including PLTP Ijen with a capacity of 110 MW which will be fully operational in 2023.
"In addition, the company also has a Combines Gas and Steam Power Plant (PLTGU) project in Riau with a capacity of 275 MW," said Susilawati.
BNI Syariah and PT Medco Power Indonesia have signed an agreement for the loan.SEVP of SME & Commercial Business of BNI Syariah Babas Bastaman stated in a press release last week that the loan is a form of BNI Syariah's support for the government's renewable energy programs. (AM/AR)
