PFN to become film financing company

JAKARTA - State-owned film production house Perum Produksi Film Negara (PFN) will become a film financing company to finance the production of Indonesian films, said Special Staffer to the State-owned Enterprises Minister Arya Sinulingga on Monday (28/9).

According to Mr Sinulingga, PFN will be included in the financial services cluster. A film financing company, he said, will encourage the production of Indonesian films.

"PFN will finance Indonesian films and not compete with existing filmmakers and producion houses. It will encourage more production of Indonesian films," he said. (LK/MS)
