Ministry of Industry focuses on realizing the industry 4.0 innovation ecosystem

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry continues to strive to make new breakthroughs by utilizing technological connectivity in the industrial sector. One of the steps taken is by encouraging its fostered centers spread across Indonesia to transform into more innovative work units. This is in line with the implementation of industry 4.0 to get around the adaptation of new habits during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This was one of the main topics in the Focus Group Discussion on the Industrial Innovation Ecosystem 4.0 held by the Industry Research and Development Agency (BPPI) of the Ministry of Industry at the Bandung Textile Center on Thursday (24/9). The FGD was attended directly by the Head of BPPI of the Ministry of Industry, Doddy Rahadi, along with the ranks and also the heads of work units from the industrial halls within the Ministry of Industry.

In order to realize the 4.0 industrial innovation ecosystem, continued Doddy, his party has compiled a guide on Industrial Learning Factory 4.0 and assessment of Technoware, Infoware, Humanware and Organware (THIO) as tools used by Balai Besar and the Industrial Research and Standardization Center (Baristand) in improve services to the business world by utilizing the application of industrial technology 4.0.

Currently, the Ministry of Industry is actively coordinating and building collaborative networks between stakeholders to accelerate the transformation of industry 4.0. In this case, the Ministry of Industry has initiated an industrial ecosystem 4.0 called the Indonesian Ecosystem 4.0 (SINDI 4.0) as a forum for synergy and collaboration, both government, regional companies, industry players, academics and R & D institutions, technical providers, consultants and of course financial actors.
