JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) was asked to make a guideline of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for cloth masks. This was conveyed by Ahmad Baidowi, Member of Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR) in response to the government's plan to draft a SNI for cloth masks.
Achmad Baidowi, Member of Commission VI, said that the Ministry of Industry needs to provide guidelines for producers, especially MSMEs. "So that in the future, the quality of the cloth masks produced by MSMEs can be accepted by the market," he said on Tuesday (29/9).
According to him, SNI for cloth masks must be made as good as possible to prevent future changes, in order to prevent confusion in the market. (LK/AR)
