30 September 2020 07:39

JAKARTA. Jenius, a digital financial platform owned by PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional Tbk (BTPN), collaborates with BNI TapCash, another digital platform owned by PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI).

With this collaboration, BNI TapCash users can top up their electronic money balances through Jenius. In addition, BBNI will also issue a special Jenius edition of the BNI TapCash card.

Irwan S. Tisnabudi, Digital Banking Head of BTPN, said that the collaboration was necessary to provide complete and relevant financial services for customers, while also promoting non-cash payment promoted by the Indonesian government.

"The role of digital and non-cash payments is very important in an effort to minimize physical contact during transactions," said Tisnabudi through a press release.

Meanwhile, Sri Indira, Head of BBNI's E-Banking Division, said that the collaboration with Jenius will continue to be developed according to the needs of the Jenius and BNI TapCash platform users. He hopes that this collaboration will increase the number of users of the TapCash service.

"[The number of BNI TapCash users] in August 2020 is 23% higher than its record in August last year," explained Indira on the same occasion. (KR/AR)
