JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) increases the number of its Merak-Bakauheni trip to 160 trips per day following the completion of PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) completed the construction of the Pier IV Merak-Bakauheni project. This was conveyed by Ira Puspadewi, President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) regarding the operation of the new pier.
Ira Puspadewi, President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) stated that the project cost Rp379 billion and took over a year to complete. "The Merak-Bakauheni route is the busiest route managed by ASDP, with 60 ships prepared for this route," she said in a press release on Wednesday (14/10).
ASDP operates seven piers on each side (Merak and Bakauheni) for 24 hours. (LK/AR)
