JAKARTA - As of 8 October 2020 state-owned guarantor PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) provided guarantees to 236,227 working capital loan debtors as part of the national economic recovery programme.
According to Jamkrindo CEO Randi Anto, the guarantees consisted of Rp 3.473 trillion from Jamkrindo and Rp 1.015 trillion from its sharia-compliant arm Jamkrindo Syariah, amounting to Rp 4.488 trillion in total.
“These working capital loans aim to protect, maintain, and improve the economic capabilities of business actors, particularly MSMEs,” Mr Anto said in an official statement on the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises’ website, Monday (12/10).
Furthermore, Mr Anto explained that working capital loan guarantees in the national economic recovery programme will raise the confidence of the banking sector in disbursing working capital loans.
“So far we have received working capital loan guarantee applications as part of the national economic recovery programme from 23 banks, including state-owned, private, and sharia banks,” he said. (MS)
