JAKARTA - Indonesia will develop new renewable energy (EBT) to become one of the main energy sources in Indonesia.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif said during a virtual discussion "Potret Energi Indonesia", said that at present, Indonesia's power generation capacity is at the level of 73 Giga Watt (GW), with EBT contributing 10.8% of it.
He said that Indonesia wanted to increase the EBT percentage in Indonesia's total energy capacity to 23% by 2025 (with a total power generation capacity of 135 GW), and 30% by 2050 (with a total power generation capacity of 440 GW). (LK/AR)
