JAKARTA - Currently, to anticipate the declining fashion business in both domestic and export markets, PT Trisula International Tbk (TRIS), which is an integrated apparel provider, is trying to adapt to market needs by diversifying its business in the production of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the form of hazmat suits, non-medical masks, and medical garment.

Santoso Widjojo as the President Director of TRIS said, "We are grateful that in this very challenging time, we can meet domestic needs for hazmat clothing products and non-medical masks, as well as export non-medical masks and medical garment to various countries such as Australia, Europe, UK and Singapore. We will always try to maximize the potential of the export market if conditions still require it and also continue to sell PPE domestically."

Through its subsidiary, namely PT Trisula Textile Industries Tbk (BELL), TRIS continues to increase its efforts to produce medical hazmat suits that have obtained a distribution permit from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), and have certification at home and abroad. Apart from medical PPE, TRIS also develops protective wear for the domestic market and also for export.

For information, in the third quarter of 2020, TRIS recorded a 6.7% growth in gross profit QoQ to Rp 57.68 billion. TRIS also recorded net sales of Rp 891.66 billion until the third quarter of 2020, contracting compared to the same period the previous year. However, the net profit attributable to the owners of the Parent Entity TRIS up to the third quarter of 2020 recorded an increase of 52.3% YoY to Rp 6.64 billion compared to the same period in the previous year.
