JAKARTA - Standard Chartered Bank Indonesia has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indonesia Eximbank regarding the Provision of Government Guarantee for Corporate Business Actors on Friday (6/11).

"Through the guarantee scheme provided by Indonesia Eximbank, the performance of the banking sector is expected to be maintained," said Standard Chartered Indonesia Head of External Communications Lucas Suryanata in an official statement received by IDNFinancials.com, Saturday (7/11).

On the other hand, he added, the corporate segment in the real economy sector is expected to be able to start business activities or continue operating amid the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) thanks to funding support from banks.

The scheme targets export-oriented corporations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with Minister of Finance Regulation No. 98 of 2020. One of the criteria for recipients of this scheme is existing customers of lending banks who require additional working capital of Rp 10 billion-1 trillion. (MS)
