JAKARTA - The industrial sector in Indonesia is considered to have strong competitiveness with a variety of products that are competitive with imported goods. This is inseparable from the government's role in encouraging the use of digital technology in accordance with the implementation of the Making Indonesia 4.0 road map.
"The strategy and policies of the Ministry of Industry in enhancing the competitiveness of the national manufacturing sector, among others, is through accelerating the implementation of industry 4.0," said Director General of Resilience, Regional Territory and International Industrial Access (KPAII) Dody Widodo in Jakarta, Wednesday (11/11).
Therefore, continued Dody, his party is actively facilitating the expansion of the national industrial market in the international arena through a comprehensive cooperation framework with potential countries.
Currently, the Indonesia-UNIDO cooperation implemented through the 2016-2020 Indonesia-UNIDO Country Program document has helped Indonesia increase national economic growth and the development of domestic industries.
Furthermore, cooperative projects that accommodate the interests and needs of the domestic industry will help increase quality and capacity so that their competitiveness will increase. (LM)
