JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) urged ASEAN to declare its Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA) framework, which will create new optimism on the economy starting next year.
Jokowi stated during his speech at the 37th ASEAN Plenary Summit in Bogor on Thursday (12/11) that ASEAN Coordinating Council and ASEAN Sectoral Bodies should act quickly and efficiently to implement the TCA. "I hope the TCA can be implemented in the first quarter of next year," he said.
According to Jokowi, the TCA arrangements can be activated gradually with the implementation of health protocols. "The plan to implement ASEAN TCA must be realized," said Jokowi. (LK/AR)
