JAKARTA - Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR) supports the acceleration of the absorption of state budget expenditures in the fourth quarter of 2020 in order to maintain people's purchasing power and to help revive businesses. Dito Ganinduto, Chairman of Commission XI said in his press release on Friday (13/11) that relevant authorities such as Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) have to coordinate to maintain economic stability. "The momentum for recovery can continue in the future so that we are able to survive the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.
He said that in the third quarter of 2020 the economic growth rate had shown improvement compared to the previous quarter. "The economy showed improvement in various sectors in Q3 2020," he said. (LK/AR)
