JAKARTA - PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) plans to open 750 new stores in 2021 with capital expenditure (CapEx) budget of IDR 2.5 trillion.
Tomin Widian, Finance Director of AMRT, said in his public expose report that the plan would only be realized if COVID-19 vaccine has been made available for the public in the second quarter of 2021. "We have the opportunity to improve the situation. The expansion target for 2021 is around 500-750 stores, "he said.
According to him, that number is lower than the realization this year so far (800) or the target (1,000).
To date, he said, as many as 250 stores had been closed due to the pandemic. However, the company has begun to open its stores with restrictions on operating hours. (LK/AR)
