BLTZ reopens all CGV cinemas in Jakarta

08 December 2020 08:50

JAKARTA. PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ), which owns and operates the CGV cinema network, has reopened all of its seven cinemas in Jakarta.

According to BLTZ Director Yeo Deoksu, the reopening is in accordance with the Jakarta Municipal Government's technical team's assessment. As the cinemas are open during large-scale social restrictions, the company said it will adhere to health protocols to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The health protocols include mandatory use of face masks, customer tracking, reduction of seat capacity, and routine sterilisation.

The reopening of cinemas, said Mr Yeo, can provide a positive signal for BLTZ's performance. He added that the company can boost the activities of film production houses, help with economic recovery in the creative industry, and create jobs.

The first four CGV cinemas in Jakarta were reopened in October 2020, followed by one in November and two in December. (KR/MS)
