HOKI optimistic that consumer goods business will improve next year

JAKARTA - PT Buyung Poetra Sembada Tbk (HOKI), in its Public Expose stated its optimism that the consumer goods business in 2021 will improve.

Budiman Susilo, Director of HOKI said, "Entering the transition from 2020 to 2021, we hope that Indonesia's economic conditions will begin to improve so that we continue to add drying machines at the rice factory in Subang and continue the construction of a new rice factory in the South Sumatra region which is targeted to be completed in the third quarter of 2021. In addition, we also formed a new subsidiary, PT Hoki Distribusi Niaga, to support the production and distribution of new HOKI products in the consumer goods sector."

Meanwhile, the plan to add dryer machines and milling in the Subang factory, West Java, is targeted to be completed in mid-2021. In addition, the process of increasing the production capacity of premium packaged rice in South Sumatra is planned with a total capacity of 40 tons per hour and is targeted to be completed in the third quarter of 2021 for a capacity of 20 tons per hour.

The new factory in the Tugumulyo area, Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra will increase HOKI’s total production capacity to 75 tons / hour in 2021 and will increase to 95 tons / hour in 2022 for the next stage. (LM)
