JAKARTA - In 2020, the Ministry of PUPR, through the Directorate General of Highways, built148 suspension bridge units throughout Indonesia with a budget of Rp 710 billion. Meanwhile, in 2019, the PUPR Ministry has also built 140 suspension bridge units in various parts of the country with a budget of Rp. 608.69 billion.
One of the suspension bridges that was completed in 2020 and inaugurated is the Mekar Baru Suspension Bridge in Petir District, Serang Regency, Banten. This bridge was inaugurated on December 29, 2020.
The Mekar Baru Suspension Bridge was built using concrete construction and steel frame with a length of 42 meters and a width of 1.5 meters. The maximum load of this bridge is 300 kg / m and can only be passed by pedestrians and light vehicles such as two-wheeled vehicles, carts and bicycles.
The bridge that connects Mekar Baru and Cikokok Village was built on September 11, 2020 and has an implementation period of 112 days. This bridge was built with a budget of Rp 2.67 billion and was carried out by PT Rizky Cipta Guna Perkasa as contractor and PT Bintang Inti Rekatama as consultant. (LM)
