06 January 2021 20:13

JAKARTA. PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk (PJAA) posted a Rp 309.72 billion loss from January to October 2020 due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a recently published financial report, PJAA's management said the company only posted Rp 327.64 billion revenue during the period, less than half of its Rp 1.97 trillion revenue in 2019.

According to PJAA Corporate Secretary Agung Praptono, the company's core business has been disrupted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which put its operational activities on a halt for over three months.

"The company has opted for a strategy to slash expenses on operational and capital expenditures," Mr Praptono said a few months ago.

PJAA has reopened a number of its businesses gradually with restrictions and health protocols as recommended by the government. (KR/MS)
