11 January 2021 12:44

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) said that the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) on domestic economic conditions entered optimistic zone. This was conveyed by Erwin Haryono, Executive Director, Head of BI Communication Department, in a press release quoted on Monday (11/1).

He explained that the CCI increase in economic conditions was based on BI Consumer Survey in December 2020, which was recorded at 96.5 points, an increase from 92.0 points in November 2020. "Consumer confidence has improved in 14 cities, with the highest index in Bandar Lampung, Jakarta and Denpasar," said Haryono.

According to him, the increase in CCI was triggered by consumer perceptions of the current economic conditions. (LK/VA)
