JAKARTA. PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) recorded the highest-ever ferronickel production volume in history, namely 25,970 tons of nickel in ferronickel (TNI) during 2020.

Kunto Hendrapawoko, SVP Corporate Secretary ANTM, said that the production volume made ferronickel sales reach 26,163 TNI. "During FY20 (Full Year 2020), unaudited nickel ore production used as raw material for ANTM's ferronickel plant and sales to domestic customers reached 4.76 million wet metric tons (wmt)," said Hendrapawoko in a release.

Meanwhile, ANTM's bauxite production volume in 2020 was recorded at 1.55 million mwt. Some of the bauxite that the company produces is used to meet the raw material needs for the alumina factory and demand from third parties. ANTM's own bauxite sales volume was recorded at 1.23 million mwt throughout 2020.

Compared to 2019, the ferronickel volume produced by ANTM grew 0.99% year on year (yoy). Meanwhile, bauxite production volume decreased 10.03% yoy. (KR/LM)
