JAKARTA. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed a number of strategies for PT Sentra Food Indonesia Tbk. (FOOD) by targeting new segments through new products and product development.
President Director of Sentra Food Indonesia, Agustus Sani Nugroho, said the demand for processed food, especially from the hotel, restaurant and catering (horeka) sector, was hit hard. The previous demand was 100 tons / month, now it is only 81 tons / month. So that the production capacity which reaches 200 tons, is currently only used half.
Facing this situation, his party has prepared a number of strategies by targeting new segments and developing existing products such as Kemfood's Rendang Padang and Kemfood's Dendeng Sapi Manis.
August also said that FOOD plans to launch several new products. "There are three types of sausages that are currently in the process of processing the permit," said Agustus as quoted by Bisnis, Tuesday (16/2/2021).
