JAKARTA - During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, the revenue of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA), an animal feed company, decreased by IDR 1.90 trillion compared to 2019. The main contributor to this decline in sales came from the domestic market.
In the 2020 Financial Report quoted on Monday (3/1), Handojo Santosa, President Director of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) said that the company's revenue was IDR 36.96 trillion, down from IDR 38.72 trillion in 2019. Meanwhile, profits net recorded as much as IDR 1.22 trillion, lower than the achievement of profit in 2019 of IDR 1.79 trillion.
Sales in the local market were recorded at IDR 36.42 trillion and exports at IDR 536.80 billion, while in 2019, domestic sales contributed IDR 38.37 trillion and exports IDR 493.57 billion. Of all business segments, commercial livestock has actually increased significantly from last year compared to other segments managed by the company. In 2020, commercial farms posted sales of IDR 13.36 trillion, up from IDR 11.53 trillion in 2019. (LK/LM)
