Sampoerna Agro seeks IDR 600 billion via bond and sukuk issuance

JAKARTA. PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk (SGRO), a plantation company owned by Sampoerna Agri Resources, is seeking fresh funds worth IDR 600 billion through the issuance of bonds and sukuk ijarah.

The issuance of bonds and sukuk ijarah is part of the Shelf Registration Bond I SGRO Public Offering program, with a target fund to be raised of IDR 1 trillion. Both debt securities have been registered at the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI).

The total principal value of the bonds offered was IDR 174.62 billion. The bonds are offered in 2 series, with the highest interest rate of 10.35% and the longest tenor of 5 years. Meanwhile, the total principal value of the sukuk ijarah offered is IDR 394.89 billion. Ijarah sukuk are offered in 2 series, with the highest ijarah installments of IDR 22.36 billion per year and the longest tenor of 5 years.

The public offering period of bonds and sukuk starts on March 8-10, 2021. Listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange will be held on June 17, 2021. In the issuance of these two debt securities, SGRO appointed four underwriting companies, namely PT BNI Sekuritas, PT Indo Premier Sekuritas, PT Mandiri Sekuritas, and PT Sucor Sekuritas. (KR/LM)
