Bank Capital plans rights issue in second half

JAKARTA - PT Bank Capital Indonesia Tbk (BACA) plans to conduct a rights issue in the second half of 2021 to increase core capital in accordance with the regulations of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). This was conveyed by Budi Setiadi, Corporate Secretary of PT Bank Capital Tbk (BACA) in an information disclosure quoted on Friday (12/3).

"Fulfillment of capital that must be done until 2022 can be fulfilled in the second semester of 2021," he said.

According to him, by increasing the core capital, Bank Capital will transform into a digital bank to provide convenience to customers. The transformation carried out by the company is digital services to consumers. "The credit that will be distributed this year, namely the productive sector is based on a digital process," he said.

As information, OJK Regulation No.12 / POJK.03 / 2020 concerning the Consolidation of Commercial Banks, requires core banks to be at least IDR 3 trillion in 2022. As of December 2020, BACA posted equity of IDR 1.59 trillion, higher than the same period last year. 2019 as much as IDR 1.53 trillion. Credit distribution amounted to IDR 11.46 trillion, up from IDR 9.58 trillion. (LK/LM)
