JAKARTA. The government has budgeted nearly IDR 700 trillion for national economic recovery in 2021, of which IDR 58 trillion is specifically allocated for vaccination. Meanwhile, taxes will be the basis for the purchase of these vaccines.

Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said the government should distribute the IDR 58 trillion allocation for vaccinating 185 million Indonesians. Vaccines are needed to create herd immunity from Covid-19.

The Deputy Minister of Finance revealed that money from taxes is one of the bases for buying vaccines and vaccinating. Because taxes are one of the cornerstones of maintaining the economy, the Deputy Minister of Finance asked all taxpayers (WP) to immediately report the 2020 tax returns (SPT) which will end this month, he said in remarks held digitally, Monday (23/3 / 2021).
