Bukalapak founder’s investment firm provided USD 5 million for a local cloud service

JAKARTA. Init 6, the newly established investment firm by Bukalapak’s Co-Founder, Ahmad Zaky, has recently invested USD 5 million in IDCloudHost, an Indonesian cloud service provider.

This freshly received fund would be allocated to enhance the technology used by IDCloudHost and its human resources development. To provide more details, IDCloudHost has been operating in the cloud service business since 2015.

On its official website, IDCloudHost claimed to have provided its service to hundreds of thousands of clients, starting from small businesses to massive corporations, such as PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) and PT Mandiri Capital, the venture company under PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI).

According to idnfinancials.com data, Init 6 has previously provided fundings for several startups, including Codemi and Eduka System. However, it has not yet specified the amount of investment made in Codemi and Eduka System. (KR/ZH)
