ABM Investama to issue US$ 400 million bonds

JAKARTA - PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM) plans to issue bond with a principal of US$ 400 million or equivalent to IDR 5.82 trillion at an exchange rate of IDR 14,560 per US$ 1. The proceeds from the issuance of these bonds will be used to pay the 2022 Notes worth US$ 350 million.

In the disclosure of information quoted on Thursday (1/4), Rindra Donovan, Corporate Secretary of PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM) said that the value of the bonds exceeds the company's equity, which currently stands at US$ 161.74 million. "The percentage of planned transactions exceeds 50% of equity, which must be approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) which will take place on May 7, 2021," he said.

According to him, the interest rate for the bonds to be issued is set at 9.5 percent per year and will be paid every 6 months. The bonds are collateralized by a company guarantee.

As of February 2021, ABMM recorded an authorized capital of IDR 4.68 trillion, issued and paid up capital of IDR 1.37 trillion, and a total number of shares of 2,753,165,000 shares with a nominal value of IDR 500 per share. The shareholder structure, among others, Bank Julius Baer Co Ltd 10.368%, Valle Verde Pte Ltd 55.956%, PT Tiara Marga Trakindo 23.111%, and the public 10.562%. (LK/LM)
