JAKARTA - PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) managed to record a 107.65% increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. This was conveyed by Manoj Dhamoo Punjabi, President Director of PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) in the 2021 first quarter financial statements quoted Friday (16/4).
He conveyed that sales were recorded at IDR 60.96 billion, up from IDR 29.35 billion. Gross profit and operating profit were recorded at IDR 33.67 billion and IDR 16.60 billion, respectively, up from gross and operating losses of IDR 1.24 billion and IDR 25.30 billion. Meanwhile, the net profit was recorded at IDR 17.32 billion, up 130.07% from the net loss of IDR 7.53 billion.
In the first quarter of 2021, the digital film sales segment contributed the most to IDR 51.04 billion, followed by sales of widescreen films with IDR 2.20 billion, and television station films with IDR 2.05 billion. Meanwhile, the building lease and shooting equipment segment contributed IDR 4.31 billion and IDR 1.34 billion, respectively. (LK/LM)
