JAKARTA – PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BMRS) collected fresh funds of IDR 1.6 trillion via rights issue conducted from April 1 to April 9, which would be used in mining additional gold ores from Poboya gold mine, Palu, Central Sulawesi.

Suseno Kramadibrata, the President Director of PT Bumi Resources Minerals, mentioned that the company’s total shares climbed up to 93.9 billion units after the said corporate action. “The success of the rights issue signalled the trust of the shareholders towards BRMS,” he claimed in a press conference, quoted on Monday (19/4).

According to Kramadibrata, the collected funds of USD 23 million would be allocated to drilling in some locations in Poboya. Hopefully, it could gather an additional 15 to 20 million tonnes of gold ores, USD 48 million to build the gold processing plants capable of handling 4000 tonnes of ores daily, and another USD 5.25 million to drill another gold mine in Motombo, Gorontalo.

“The gold processing plant’s construction would take place mid-2022 and would operate in 2024,” Kramadibrata continued. (LK/ZH)
