Waskita releases 30% stake in Kualanamu toll road for IDR 824 billion

JAKARTA. PT Waskita Karya Tbk. (WSKT) through its subsidiary, Waskita Toll Road (WTR), has just sold 30% of its shares in PT Jasamarga Kualanamu Tol (JMKT) to Kings Ring Limited for IDR 824 billion.

Waskita Karya Corporate Secretary Ratna Ningrum explained that WTR would receive payment for the share release in two stages. The first phase is IDR 650 billion in 2021 and the second payment is IDR 174 billion next year at the time of toll road tariff adjustment.

"With this transaction WTR does not become a shareholder in JMKT and WTR will receive benefits from the transaction," he said in an information disclosure on Saturday (24/4/2021).

Previously, the state-owned contractor issuer had just remodeled the board of directors and the Board of Commissioners at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) last week. The AGMS on April 16, 2021 appointed 3 new commissioners and 2 new directors. Badrodin Haiti was appointed as the main / independent commissioner, Ahmad Erani Yustika was appointed as the commissioner, and T. Iskandar as the commissioner. Meanwhile, I Ketut Pasek Senjaya Putra was appointed as director of operations I and Luki Theta Handayani as director of business development and quality, safety, health and environment. (AM/LM)
