JAKARTA – PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA) estimated this year’s revenue to increase by 15% from its position in 2020 at IDR 2.94 trillion. Herman Gunadi, the Corporate Secretary of SSIA, stated during a press conference, quoted Thursday (29/4).

According to Gunadi, the said objective went hand in hand with the hope that the Subang Smartpolitan area launched on November 18, 2020, could yield sales of a 40-hectare land. Additionally, the company set marketing sales of 20-hectare of Suryacipta City of Industry Karawang this year.

“If the pandemic worsened by the end of the year, the target might be affected as well,” Gunadi stated.

Throughout 2020, the company’s revenue declined 26.4% from its revenue realisation pre-pandemic in 2019 of IDR 4 trillion. Furthermore, its losses reached IDR 87.5 billion from its net profit in 2019 of IDR 92.3 billion.

The decreasing sales came from the construction sector, from IDR 2.61 trillion to IDR 2.08 trillion. Hospitality sector sales also sharply went down from IDR 811.4 billion to IDR 219.8 trillion. Property sectors added IDR 651.6 billion from IDR 588.2 billion, while other segments contributed IDR 13.5 billion from IDR 11.3 billion.

“The property, construction, and hotel affairs businesses face different challenges each due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Gunadi claimed. (LK/ZH)
