JAKARTA. PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) recorded a satisfactory performance in Q1 2021 with a 77.03% growth in revenue, now reaching IDR 9.21 trillion from IDR 5.20 trillion in Q1 2020.

Along with the increasing sales, the cost of goods sold also went up by 63.44% to IDR 7.58 trillion. In Q1 2020, it only amounted to IDR 4.64 trillion. However, the company still managed to score a gross profit of 189.33%, now securing IDR 1.62 trillion.

This financial gain occurred following the increasing operating expenses by 96.01%, from IDR 424.27 billion (Q1 2020) to IDR 831.63 billion in Q1 2021. Thus, the company reported its operating profit of IDR 793.88 billion, experiencing a 477.20% surge from IDR 137.54 billion.

The company also managed to make a very significant cut in its financial expenses, from IDR 1.18 trillion in Q1 2020 to only IDR 234.79 billion in Q1 2021. Although its foreign exchange profit dropped to IDR 165.86 billion from IDR 700.61 billion in Q1 2020, ANTM could still secure IDR 630.37 billion for its current year’s profit. This gain resulted from the parent company’s performance, which managed to overturn an IDR 281.83 billion loss it suffered in Q1 2020. (AM/ZH)
