JAKARTA. The shareholders’ meeting of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGAS), commonly abbreviated as PGN, has assigned two people from President Joko Widodo’s inner circle to become its commissaries.
The said two were Dini Shanti Purwono and Paiman Raharjo. PGN’s shareholders had appointed both as Independent Commissary of PGN.
According to idnfinancials.com data, Dini Shanti Purwono is a politician from Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI), who has once nominated herself in Legislative Election 2019 for Central Java Region I. Within the same year, she was elected as a member of special presidential staffs for law affairs.
Meanwhile, Paiman Raharjo has been previously positioned as PGN’s commissary since 2015. He was also known for being a volunteer in President Jokowi and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin’s political campaign staff. Furthermore, Raharjo was the former General Head of Relawan Sedulur Jokowi, one of the volunteer groups supporting Jokowi in the last presidential election.
The PGN’s shareholders did not receive any dividend from the fiscal year 2020. This state-owned gas company suffered a USD 264.77 million loss last year. (KR/ZH)
