Trans Airways’s shares in Garuda increased to 28.26%

JAKARTA. PT Trans Airways added its stakes in PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA), now reaching 28.26% of its issued capital from 25.81%.

Quoting from the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange, Finegold Resources Ltd, the previous owner of 635,739,990 shares of GIAA, had transferred the entire stock to PT Trans Airways with the price of IDR 499 each on May 6, 2021. Therefore, this transaction amounted to IDR 317.23 billion. Trans Airways is a company owned by the billionaire Chairul Tanjung.

The said transaction rose the number of Trans Airways’ stocks in Garuda Indonesia to 7.31 billion units, equivalent to 28.26%, as the President Director of Trans Airways, Warnedy, concluded in the information disclosure on Monday (10/5). (AM/ZH)
