PRIM spent IDR 20 billion to acquire a hospital in Medan

JAKARTA – PT Royal Prima Tbk (PRIM), the owner of Rumah Sakit Royal Prima, deposited IDR 20 billion as a commitment to acquire a hospital in Medan, North Sumatera. Tommy Leonard, the President Director of PRIM, announced this initiative in public expose, quoted Thursday (27/5).

“The purchase aims to expand the company and support the government in handling the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in North Sumatera,” Leonard claimed.

It was specified that the funds used for this action came from initial public offering (IPO) funds of IDR 270 billion. MoU of the land and building purchase of the said hospital had been signed in December 2020.

“MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the seller and the finalisation of the price would take place at the end of May 2021, with the projected transaction IDR 260 billion to 340 billion,” Leonardo added.

PRIM managed to collect a net fund of IDR 579.18 billion from the IPO, allocating them to medical equipment purchase, land purchase, business expansion, and the working capital. (LK/ZH)
