ADHI expands market in Asean, eyeing 6 railway projects in the Philippines

JAKARTA. PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. (ADHI) is expanding the market in Asean, especially the Philippines, which offers many train project tenders, and is currently eyeing six train project packages being offered in the country this year.

Operations Director 2 Adhi Karya Pundjung Setya Brata said the company, in accordance with the previous mandate of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), is to explore the field of railway construction and integrated construction services abroad, and focus on the railroad sector.

With this mandate, ADHI adjusts between the types of projects from foreign markets that are targeted and the advantages of Adhi Karya in the fields of railways and civil construction. "We will adjust the foreign market according to the long-term strategy in which Adhi Karya has been named a champion in both railway and engineering construction," said Pundjung in a press conference this week.

According to Pundjung, his party is currently participating in the project tender for six railway commuter line work packages in the Philippines, namely the Calamba Extension, there are 6 packages. "The tender is this year," said Pundjung. (AM/LM)
