JAKARTA – PT Uni Charm Indonesia Tbk (UCID) obtains a profit of IDR 103.28 billion in Q1 2021, experiencing a surge from its 2020 loss of IDR 131.46 billion. This position results from revenue growth, efficiency methods, and foreign exchange gains.
In its financial report published on Friday (11/6), Yuji Ishii, the President Director of UCID, reveals that the revenue reaches IDR 2.10 trillion, increasing IDR 100 billion from Q1 2020 of IDR 2.04 trillion. The contributing sales consist of third-party sales of IDR 1.84 trillion and affiliate sales of IDR 256.24 billion.
The revenue above 10% came from retail store operators, PT Indomarco Prismatama of IDR 332.11 billion and PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) of IDR 296.95 billion. Diapers products contribute the most by adding IDR 2.02 trillion sales, and non-diapers adds IDR 80.24 billion.
UCID scores a gross profit of IDR 410.68 billion, lower than Q1 2020 of IDR 424.42 billion. However, due to the efficiency in sales and financial management, as well as forex gains, the company manages to secure a profit before tax of IDR 143.40 billion, skyrocketing from a loss of IDR 113.13 billion.
