Garuda Indonesia to postpone the coupon payment for Global Sukuk of USD 500 million

18 June 2021 07:34

JAKARTA. PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) announces the postponement of profit-sharing from Global Sukuk of USD 500 million maturing in 2023.

This delay is due to GIAA’s financial condition that is far from its prime and weakened. So far, the company has appointed Guggenheim Securities as the financial consultant responsible for helping GIAA regain a healthy financial condition.

“We believe the consultant team that we have formed has the best composition to shape us into an airline that performs well and owns solid capitalisation through the pandemic,” Irfan Saputra, the President Director of Garuda Indonesia, claims in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Next, Guggenheim Securities would cooperate with other consultants previously assigned by GIAA. They include PT Mandiri Sekuritas, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, and Assegaf Hamzah & Partners. (KR/ZH)
