JAKARTA. PT MNC Studios Tbk (MSIN) has signed an equity investment and publication right for Rapid Fire, a South Korean First-Person Shooting (FPS) game, from LightningVR Co Ltd (LVR).
The publication right obtained by MISN include the global market. Furthermore, the company also acquires e-sport rights, licenses, and merchandising.
MSIN claims to be quite optimistic about the agreement considering the gaming industry’s rapid growth in the Asia Pacific. The Asia Pacific is also an area that contributes almost 50% of the gaming industry revenue in the international market.
Valencia Tanoesoedibjo, the Director of MSIN, explains that the online game trend in Indonesia is growing positively. “The increasing trend of gaming competition in Indonesia would also be supported by our program in GTV, E-Sports Star Indonesia, that would promote the said game,” Tanoesoedibjo explains in a press conference.
Rapid Fire is planned to be launched in September 2021. MSIN would also raise the number of the said game user through the support of its digital platforms like RCTI+ and GTV. (KR/ZH)
