JAKARTA. PT Bank MNC Internasional Tbk (BABP) has signed the agreement with Yusuf Mansur, the Islamic scholar and public figure, to invite a million new users for its MotionBankiing platform.
Henry Suparman, the Director of MNC Group, explains that the said contract intends to support BABP in expanding the number of MotionBanking platform users. Next, Mansur would promote the MotionBanking account opening to the communities, businesses, and networks of Islamic boarding schools he manages.
“The collaboration with Ustad Yusuf Mansur is a strategic measure to invite various groups of people so that MotionBanking could become the solution for the low financial inclusivity in Indonesia, as well as achieving the acquisition target of 30 million new users in the next five years,” Suparman explains in the official statement received by idnfinancials.com
In this contract, Mansur is given three months to gain one million new users. “The consortium and I would fully support the growing numbers of MotionBanking users,” Mansur claims.
This agreement is also a part of the stock purchase contract for 250 million units of BABP’s shares by Yusuf Mansur’s consortium. The entire stock portion bought by Mansur belongs to Winfly Ltd, one of PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP) affiliates. (KR/ZH)
