JAKARTA - PT Buyung Poetra Sembada Tbk (HOKI), continues to strive to improve performance by actively selling via online other than through the modern market (Modern Trade) and traditional market (General Trade).

During the first 3 months of 2021, HOKI recorded sales growth online via various platforms more than 4 (four) times and reached IDR 5.2 billion from IDR 900 million in the first quarter of 2020. In addition, in terms of total sales, when compared to the previous quarter, sales in the first quarter of 2021 continued to show an increasing trend starting in the third quarter of 2020 by 1.74% QoQ even though it had not been as high as sales in Q1-2020 before the pandemic.

Budiman Susilo, Director of HOKI said, "During this economic recovery period, with the vaccination from the Government, it is hoped that this pandemic can be controlled soon. Thus, we continue to strive for better performance. The increasing sales per quarter and via online also indicate a change in consumer consumption trends where HOKI continues to adjust its business strategy in order to continue to survive and grow healthy.”

To continue to expand its market, HOKI is also in the permit process and the trial phase to diversify new products that will be engaged in consumer goods through its subsidiary, PT Hoki Distribusi Niaga. This is HOKI's effort to improve performance and see various opportunities that can arise in the midst of a pandemic.

"Therefore, in line with these plans and strategies, in 2021 if economic conditions improve, we are targeting sales growth of around 10-15%. In the future, it is hoped that HOKI can continue to maintain and improve better performance,” concluded Budiman. (LM)
