Reserving its capital, Bumi Serpong Damai withholds its dividend distribution

24 June 2021 20:43

JAKARTA. PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) would refrain from distributing the dividend for this year as it would focus on strengthening the capital to support its business.

Hermawan Wijaya, the Director of BSDE, assures that this decision follows the result of the Annual General Shareholders Meeting held a couple of days earlier. “We are allocating the net profit of 2020 to improve capitalisation in 2021,” Wijaya confirms in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange.

According to idnfinancials.com, BSDE reported a net profit of IDR 281.7 billion in 2020. This number resulted from its revenue gains that reached IDR 6.18 trillion. However, its net profit was, in fact, significantly declining by 89.9% year-on-year in 2020.

Fortunately, in the first quarter of 2021, BSDE’s revenue shows a positive trend, growing 11.59% yoy. Its net profit also experiences a surge of 126.58% yoy.

On the same occasion, BSDE also restructures its board of directors. Below is the new structure of BSDE’s board of directors.

President Director: Franciscus Xaverius RD

Vice President Director: Michael JP Widjaja

Directors: Lie Jani Harjanto, Hermawan Wijaya, Syukur Lawigena, Liauw Herry Hendarta, Monik William, Siswanto Adisaputro
