JAKARTA. The construction sector dominates the new contracts that PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) obtains in the first half of 2021. Its gains have jumped as high as 45% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 6.7 trillion.

Corporate Secretary of ADHI, Farid Budiyanto, reveals that in H1 2021, the company realises new contracts worth IDR 6.7 trillion, increasing 45% from IDR 4 trillion in the earlier half of 2020.

Budiyanto specifies that the said number comprises gains from contracts within several business lines managed by ADHI. They come from the construction line of 88.83%, the energy sector 1.71%, the property segment 9.03%, and other lines fill in the remaining portion. Budiyanto explains the details to Kontan.co.id, Thursday (8/7).

If segmenting by the providers of the contracts, 65.01% of the projects are owned by private businesses/others, 32.94% are from the government, and state-owned enterprises provide another 2.05%.

Budiyanto also estimates that for the second half of 2021, ADHI would secure more contracts worth IDR 18 to 19 trillion. The management is also optimistic about reaching the contract growth by 20%-25% compared to last year. (AM/ZH)
