JAKARTA. Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) approved the request submitted by The Ministry of State-owned Enterprise (BUMN) regarding the additional funds worth IDR 2 trillion, to be disbursed in 2022, for the policy restructuring of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero).

“[The request for additional State Equity Participation (PMN)] in IFG is intended for Jiwasraya restructuring process, worth IDR 2 trillion,” Erick Thohir, the Minister of BUMN, confirmed in the meeting with Commission VI of DPR RI on Wednesday (14/7). This number is a part of a more extensive PMN provision of IDR 72,449 trillion.

The Vice Head of Commission VI of DPR RI, Aria Bima, also acting as the meeting leader, expressed his approval for the BUMN Ministry’s request. “Commission VI of DPR RI agrees that the cash PMN of 2022 worth IDR 72,449 trillion and the conversion of RDI/SLA and ex-BPPN of IDR 3.4 trillion to non-cash PMN of 2022 to be made into the 2022 State Budget Meeting agenda,” Bima claims.

The government initially asked for the total PMN of IDR 22 trillion regarding the Jiwasraya policy restructuring process to PT Asuransi Jiwa IFG (IFG Life). According to Law of State Budget 2021, the total PMN of IDR 20 trillion had been allocated by the government earlier. Then, the BUMN Ministry requests an extra PMN of IDR 2 trillion to meet the needs after the policy restructuring processes had been completed. (AM/ZH)
