JAKARTA – PT Weha Transportasi Indonesia Tbk (WEHA) arranges a rights issue, planning to offer 886,411,265 shares and 295,440,875 warrants. Edgar Sugardi, Director of Weha Transportasi Indonesia, reveals this plan in the information disclosure, quoted on Wednesday (21/7).
It is mentioned that the plan would take place at least 12 months after obtaining approval during the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting on August 26, 2021, and receiving an effective statement from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). “The proceeds from the rights issue would be spent on business expansion and covering some of the debts,” Sugardi explains.
According to Sugardi, the usage detail of the collected funds would be adjusted by the time the shares and warrants are being issued. The company, he adds, has the right to regulate the utilisation of the funds accordingly. “This action would strengthen the capital structure and increase cash for the working capital,” he continues.
As of June 2021, WEHA’s stockholders are PT Panorama Sentrawisata Tbk, owning 44.91%, PT Weha Investama 14.05%, and PT WEHA INVESTAMA 11.28% of 622,555,686 shares. Meanwhile, the public has 29.76% of the shares, equal to 263,755,579 units. (LK/ZH)
